Chlamydia – What is Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a bacteria that affects the sex organs. If it is not treated the infection can spread to other parts of the body and cause pain, especially in the abdomen (lower stomach, and may cause infertility (being unable to have children).

What is the Chlamydia Test?

If you want to have the test you will be asked to complete a form and give a urine(wee) sample. The test is simple and painless.

Where can I get the Chlamydia Test?

Chlamydia screening is available free of charge for all 16 – 24 year olds. If you require a testing kit please ask at reception.
